Sonic Forces - all Avatar Animals

Many different species were considered for the Avatar, including raccoons, dogs, squirrels, rats, pigs, lizards and more. In the final game, only seven were used. The last species to be chosen was either going to be monkey, dragon or bear, and bear was chosen as it was a power type. To compensate, dragon scales and AiAi ears were added in as a parts.[5] Eastern and western audience preferences were considered in decision making for the Avatar. Some features like eye shapes that were deemed too cute or juvenile for Western audiences had to be altered. The dragon was an example of a species that may be too Eastern, so more neutral animals were prioritized.[6]
